Welcome to God's throne room. His gentle invitation to prayer has been answered by you.
We trust that you will experience His assistance and direction as you pray. We are honored that different parts of the one body of Christ are coming together to intercede.
All rooms at SPPC except the office are available for prayer. This includes two small prayer rooms (for private prayers), a large central intercession area (main area), an adjoining prayer room with several interactive prayer stations.
There are two restrooms.
There will be normally an Event Staff person on site and available. They can help with anything you might need. In the event of an emergency, call John Ryan at 323-543-7560.
If you are praying remotely, thank you. May you experience His presence and anointing as you intercede.
We believe God will hear your prayers and very likely speak to you as you spend time with Him.
Share anything you believe the Lord speaks to you that you believe He wants us also to hear. "Despise not prophesies" is the command of the Bible. We would love to hear from you.
God directs us in prayer and confirms His word to us through one another. Our faith increases greatly as we hear from Him through one another.

Prepared Hearts, Prevailing Prayer, Poured Out Spirit
We want God to pour out his Spirit on San Pedro. Do we? Are we willing to do the work, to pay the price? Revival is God’s work. It is a sovereign outpouring of his Spirit in his timing for his glory. When revival comes the kingdom is advanced more in days or weeks than in normal times take years or decades, if at all. Sleeping saints are awakened, sorrowful sinners are saved, and God is glorified.
But there are conditions. There is work for us to do. Let’s consider it using the scripture from Hosea 10:12.
Break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.
Before we can expect revival, God is looking for a prepared heart (break up your fallow ground) with prevailing prayer (it is time to seek the Lord).
Prepared Hearts
Fallow Ground
Fallow ground is hard. Are our hearts hard? This is when they have become insensitive to the sins that grieve the Holy Spirit and unresponsive to his still small voice. We need soft hearts of flesh to replace our hearts of stone.
Fallow ground has weeds. Sin chokes good seed. It is time to stop avoiding our sins, be honest about them, confess them to God, and root them out.
Fallow ground is unfruitful. Are we producing love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control?
Breaking it Up
If our hearts are fallow ground, then we are commanded to break it up. God will not do it for us; the responsibility is ours. This is the hard work of plowing. It means to bring our hearts to a humble and contrite state before God. This is the only state God can revive, ready for the rain of revival.
A humble heart. Pride is the destroyer of a humble heart. It finds its expression in the lifting up of self before God and man. It is the subtle, evasive influence behind all works of the flesh.Pride is woven deeply into us and only God can expose it. David says, “Search me, O God, and know my heart.” Are we resisting God’s dealings with us? His powers of resistance are infinitely more powerful than ours.
The humble heart is ready for breaking up. A contrite heart is broken over its sin and is brought to repentance and sometimes restitution. This is the hard work of plowing. This is a great condition of revival: that of a broken heart that is sensitive to the least touch of the Spirit and so quickly obeys.
Prevailing Prayer
When our hearts are prepared it is time to pray. From the heart plowed deep flows the kind of prayer that prevails with God and brings revival.
Vision of the Need
Do we see the need for revival? Has the church been in decline? Pastor Nathan has recently said, “I have never seen the Christian movement in our region more vulnerable than I do at this moment.” We must face the facts: we need revival! We cannot be indifferent. Lord we confess our apathy, our desire for the place of comfort, our satisfaction with the way things are, our laziness in prayer. Let our hearts be burdened with what burdens you. Wake us up!
Response to the Need
How do we respond to the need? When Nehemiah heard about the declined state of Jerusalem and her walls he “sat down and wept and mourned for days and continued fasting and praying before the God of heaven.”
Prevailing prayer requires a tender and compassionate heart and a deep desire for the glory of God and the good of his people. Can we pray without weeping and mourning? Have we prayed without fasting? Does the situation demand it? Desperate situations demand desperate measures.
Nehemiah’s prayer that followed is one of the greatest prayers of scripture. He acknowledges the greatness and awesomeness of God. He prevailed because he held God to be faithful and pled his promises. In Hosea, God has promised to come and rain righteousness on us. Will he not do what he has promised?
Nehemiah’s prayer was earnest and steadfast: “Be attentive to hear the prayer of your servant... that I now pray before you day and night.” He prayed without ceasing. Can we do less? Galatians 6:9 says, “in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Friends, it is time to “seek the Lord that he may come and rain righteousness on us.”
God’s Answer
When we pray like this for revival, we cannot expect to prevail unless we are prepared to be the instrument of the answer to our own prayers. We have paid the price in plowing our fallow ground, are we prepared to pay the price of going through with God?
God is looking for a person. In Ezekiel it says, “And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.” Is there not one person in San Pedro that God can find who will prevail in prayer for revival? Will one of us be that one?
Poured Out Spirit
Will God rain righteousness on us? I believe he is poised to do it. It is time. Lord, pour out your Spirit on San Pedro!
Amen.
Lord, you demand justice for your children who have been wrong. Give strength to people who investigate and prosecute traffickers. Encourage those who are weary. Give courage to survivors when they are asked to testify against their former captors.
Divine protection for all who are exploited and enslaved
Release them from their chairs for those forced into labor, trafficked into sexual slavery and denied freedom and grant them protection, safety and empowerment.
Restore their dignity and provide them a new beginning for those who come out.
Show us how we might end exploitation by addressing its causes
Help us reach out in support of victims and survivors of human trafficking
Deut 10:18 “He executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the sojourner, giving him food and clothing.”
Pray for awareness and understanding of the issues and laws surrounding trafficking
Jeremiah 22:13 “Woe to him who builds his house without righteousness and his upper rooms without justice, who uses his neighbor's services without pay and does not give him his wages.”
Red light district. Pray that demonic strongholds and resulting bondage over these areas be broken in Jesus’ name
Pray for physical and spiritual freedom for all those who are living in redlight district
Ask God to unify, strengthen and empower believers who are serving Him as missionaries/native missionaries in these areas of the world.
Psalm 146:7 “He executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets the prisoners free.”
Leviticus 19:29 “Do not degrade your daughter by making her a prostitute, or the land will turn to prostitution and be filled with wickedness.”
Pray against prostitution, pronography, strip clubs, adult entertainment, massage parlors and all other forms of commercial sex.
Pray for those who purchase commercial sex would be convicted of their sins and turn to God.
There are three ways to use these prayers.
First, simply pray one prayer each day for a week, a month, or longer. Each time you pray, you will be sowing seeds that will literally change the future and destiny of the people in your town or city!
Second, pray the suggested prayer to begin. If you feel additional or more substantive prayers coming to you while praying them, feel free to expand upon the prayers. With as many people praying as possible, we would like to build a culture of prayer throughout the whole region.
Third—and to us this is the most exciting—join with others in small groups to pray these and other prayers corporately for your city. If the prayer of one righteous man or woman is powerful and effective, how much more powerful will be the corporate prayers of many righteous men and women in groups all over the city! It is the surest way for our communities to become “cities on a hill,”—shining examples of what a region blessed by God should be!
GOD WANTS TO BLESS OUR CITY
“You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it. You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its crops. You crown the year with your bounty and your carts overflow with abundance.” Psalm 65:9-11
God’s intention and desire is that our land prosper, so that we prosper, so that our community prospers. He desires this because He is a good Father who loves to bless His people! “Father, we thank you for your grace and goodness. May your face continually shine upon us, so that your ways may be known in our communities. We praise you, God; and may all the people praise you. Then our land will yield its harvest and you, Lord, will bless us. (Psalm 67:1-4)
Lord, we give you our land, our homes, our labor, and our city. Look with favor on our community, protect our citizens and leaders, and enrich our land so that we may be a blessing to others. We pray that you would be honored and lifted up in our community. Amen.”
WISDOM FOR CITY LEADERS
“By me (Wisdom) kings reign and rulers make laws that are just; by me princes govern and all nobles who rule on earth. I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.” Proverbs 8:15-17 God is a generous giver. And He loves to give. He will give His Wisdom to anyone who humbly asks for it. It is His gift to us so that we may do what is right and just so that we may live successful lives. Elected officials, if they ask for Wisdom, will in turn govern our communities with enlightened hearts and minds and make sound, fair, and right decisions for all the people in our region.
“Thank you Lord, for all our civil servants. Thank you for their hard work and sacrifice. May you continually bless them. May you generously give to each of them wise and discerning hearts to skillfully govern the people in our city. Give the mayor, city leaders, staff, and city council Wisdom so that they may solve problems, distinguish between right and wrong, and bring order, stability, and prosperity to our community. Amen.”
WISDOM FOR CITIZENS IN YOUR CITY
“Wisdom makes one wise man more powerful than ten rulers in a city.” Ecclesiastes 7:19 Leaders and civil servants need Wisdom for leadership and governing, while citizens need Wisdom for home and work. Cities prosper with innovation, hard work, and creative ideas that come from a free people. To possess these virtues, we need Wisdom from God— His divine blueprints for all that we do. One citizen filled with this kind of Wisdom has more power than ten elected officials. A city filled with wise people will surely become a productive, prosperous, and powerful city!
“Lord, we thank you for your Wisdom. As citizens of Heaven, we ask you to fill us with Wisdom and Revelation by the power of your Spirit. Enable us to know you better, to know your will and your plans for our lives. Lord, give us a heart of Wisdom. May your Wisdom produce in us creative ideas, solutions to problems, new technologies and products. May you give us sound counsel and good judgment to help us make good decisions. May you also give us greater knowledge, understanding, and power so that we may live skillfully and give back what is good and excellent to our community. Amen.”
A CITY OF JUSTICE
“By justice a King gives a country stability, but one who is greedy for bribes tears it down.” Proverbs 29:4 “‘…but let him who boasts about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who exercises kindness, justice, and righteousness on earth for in these I delight,’ declares the Lord.” Jeremiah 9:24 Since God “delights” in justice, city leaders should delight in it also. The chief duty of a civil servant is to establish and maintain justice. Justice and fairness for the poor, fair conditions for businesses to prosper and families to flourish, and justice in the courts of law will lead to stability and a thriving community.
“Lord, thank you for our mayor, the city council and leaders at every level in our city. Give them grace to bring truth, justice, and stability to our region. Give them power to do what is right and to rule in fairness. May our community be known for its justice. Let it always prosper from the influence of good men and women. Amen.”
PRAYER FOR THE POOR IN OUR CITIES
“Do not exploit the poor because they are poor and do not crush the needy in court, for the Lord will take up their case and will plunder those who plunder them.” Proverbs 22:22 “To show partiality is not good…” Proverbs 28:19 Conditions of injustice injure all citizens, but especially those who are poor. We are called to love and care for them according to our abilities. Unequal measures in the courts, schools, and businesses violate the law of love and create hardship for the poor. The same standard for all is God’s heart for everyone in our community.
“Thank you, Lord, that you desire justice for all. Let us be attentive to the cries of the poor. Let us share their burdens and come to their aid. May we treat the poor among us with mutual respect, fairness, and love. Let our love bring them hope, encouragement, and freedom. Let there be equality among us and equal application of the laws. Amen.”
PRAYER FOR PROSPERITY
“When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices; when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy.” Proverbs 11:10 “Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed.” Proverbs 11:11 When good people succeed and increase in a community, the entire city is uplifted. Justice, goodness, and hope increase exponentially to the benefit of all citizens. In this way, good and upright people bring honor, glory, and prosperity to their city.
“Father, thank you for empowering your people to preach the good news in our city. Let more people open their hearts to Jesus. May you revive our city with new life. May every person, marriage, family, school, and business in our community enjoy the blessings of God. Let the benefits of your people influence our city. Amen.”
CHURCH UNITY IN OUR COMMUNITY
“How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! …For there the Lord bestows His blessing, even life forevermore.” Ps. 33:1,3 “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Eph. 4:3 We see a difference between the people of God in a city and the individual churches in that city. Despite attending different churches, we are one body of believers. God’s heart is for His people to pray, speak, and act “in one accord”—with one voice and one mind through the unity that comes from the Holy Spirit.
“Lord, give your people in our community a spirit of unity as we follow you, so that with one heart and mind we may work together for the good of our city and glorify your Name. Give us your humility, Lord, and let all barriers, walls, strongholds, and divisions that keep us separated from you and one another come down in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
1. UNITY OF PASTORS, LEADERS AND CHURCHES IN THE CITY
- That the make them into a “Band of Brothers/Sisters"
"And he said, “If the Arameans are too strong for me, then you shall help me; but if the sons of Ammon are too strong for you, then I will come to help you." (2 Sam. 10:11)
- That churches share resources to advance God’s Kingdom in San Pedro
"For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down, and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?" (Luke 14:28)
- For a united San Pedro Body of Christ
"Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. (1 Pet. 3.8)
2. PROTECTION OF SPIRITUAL LEADERS
"We wrestle not against flesh & blood"
(Eph. 6:12)
- Ask God for intercessors to be armor bearers for Pastors (1 Sam.14:6-15)
- Ask God to send His ministering angelic spirits for leaders (Heb. 1:14)
3. GOD’S PLAN TO ADVANCE HIS KINGDOM
- Invite Jesus as our Commander in Chief and Captain of the Army of the Lord of San Pedro (Joshua 5:14).
- Ask God to reveal His Battle Plan for San Pedro:
- Ask God for:
- Ask for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit:
- Ask God to dispel the works of darkness in this city:
- Use the name of Jesus and the authority given to you:
God’s heart is broken as He sees the broken families of our city. Let us join Jesus in intercession for the family - the building blocks of the city. Let us pray that:
Lord, thank you for all You do in our lives.
We are truly grateful for all You have provided us. From friends to family, You are always blessing us.
Lord, today we lift up to You our San Pedro churches. They are the places we go to worship You, and where we learn about You.
It is where You are present to our Pastors, members, lay leaders, and to visitors, and so we ask for Your blessings over all of them.
We are asking for the blessing of wisdom on our church leaders, including (list of names can be added here).
We ask that You refill them with the Spirit.
We ask that You guide the messages that come from our Pastors and lay-leaders.
We ask that the words uttered among the congregants be ones that honor You and do more to spread Your Word than to harm relationships with You.
We ask that we be honest yet uplifting.
We ask that You guide our leaders to be examples to others.
We ask that You continue to bless them with servants' hearts, a sense of responsibility to those they lead and fulfillment in their service to You, the church family and to their own family.
May our pastors and lay-leaders be continually Spirit-filled in their services. Lord, we also ask that You give us a strong sense of Your Spirit in our churches, that our churches be Spirit-filled.
We ask that You fill our hearts with all that You are and direct us in ways that we are always living in Your will.
We ask that You bless us and point us toward how we can do more in You to be Your servants.
Lord, we ask that when people enter our churches, they feel Your Spirit all around them.
We ask that we remain hospitable to each other and to outsiders, and we ask for Your grace and forgiveness when we slip up.
May church members lift one another up, and we ask that You give us the heart to continue in that way.
Lord, we ask You to bless us with the desire to do more for the world around us and for one another. We ask that those in need are identified by the church and are given a helping hand.
We ask that we reach out to the community where You see our help to fit. Importantly, also, we ask that You bless us with the resources to fulfill Your mission for our churches.
We ask that You give us the ability to be great stewards over those resources and that You guide our hand in using them.
We also ask that You continue to bless the ministries in our church. From Bible studies to youth group to childcare. We ask that we be able to speak to each congregant in ways they require.
We ask that the ministries be led by those You have chosen and that we all grew in Your word and servanthood by the leaders You have provided.
Lord, our San Pedro churches are ultimately important in our lives. They bring us closer to You. We ask for Your blessings on them, and we lift our churches up to You.
Thank You, Lord, for allowing each of us to be a part of a church congregation — and a part of You.
In Your holy name,
Amen.
2 Cor 5:20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

I Corinthians 1:17 “For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel-not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.”
2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people’s conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance.
John 3:16 “For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world, that He even gave His one and only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him as Savior shall not perish, but have eternal life.

Prayer Points
*forgive us for passivity and lukewarmness in us. (Rev 3:14-22) Light the fire in our souls for the things that burn in Your heart. Let your desire be our desires and your will be our will.
*You desire everyone to come to repentance and not one should perish. (2Peter 3:9) Give us the desire for the advancement of your kingdom. Teach us how to pray and give us strategy and boldness to preach the gospel in San Pedro.
*We ask for the strongholds of our mindset to be pulled down. Romans 8:5-6 “Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of a sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.” Proverbs 23:7 “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” 2Cor 10:5 “We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.”
*Ezek 11:19 “And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh.” Break down the hard, rebellious and bewitched heart and bring the hearts back to you with gratitude and thanksgiving. Psalm 51:10 “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” Jeremiah 24:7 “I will give them a heart to know that I am the Lord, and they shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart.”
*Jericho 6 The people of God circled the wall of Jericho for 6 days with the priests carrying trumpets before the ark. On the 7th day, the trumpets were blown and the army of God shouted, the wall of Jericho collapsed. Lord help us to diligently pray over this city and as the Lord blows the trumpet, the city wall will collapse.
*Hebrews 12:1-2, “Therefore since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside eerie weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus , the founder and the perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”
forgive us for letting go of our first love and allowing the world to sway us from running after God.

We also come against every form of idolatry. Let us worship Jesus and Him alone.
*Isaiah 52:7 “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns! We bless those who have been preaching the good news faithfully in San Pedro. Allow them to see the fruit of their labor.
*Joshua 1:3 “Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you, just as I promised to Moses.” Bless those who have been faithfully walking the streets of San Pedro. Bless the San Pedro Prayer Walk, that indeed every place that they tread upon will be given to our God.

Prayer Guide for Children and Youth of San Pedro
1 John 5 14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears in us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
2Cor 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not ]carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
Habakkuk 2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.

In Jesus’ name, we come against:

PRAYER POINTS-SAN PEDRO CHURCHES/LEADERS
It is vitally important to pray for the churches, pastors, and other leaders. God yearns for the strength and wisdom of Joshua for our leaders and vibrant growth of our churches.
UNITY OF PASTORS, LEADERS, AND CHURCHES
“Band of Brothers/Sisters” of Pastors/Leaders
(2Sam. 10:11) And he said, “If the Arameans are too strong for me, then you shall help me; but if the sons of Ammon are too strong for you, then I will come to help you.
Churches sharing resources to advance God’s Kingdom in San Pedro
(Luke 14:28) For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?
A United San Pedro Body of Christ
(1Pet. 3.8) Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.

1 Give the king your justice, O God, and your righteousness to the royal son!
2 May he judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice!
3 Let the mountains bear prosperity for the people, and the hills, in righteousness!
4 May he defend the cause of the poor of the people, give deliverance to the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor!
5 May they fear you while the sun endures, and as long as the moon, throughout all generations!
6 May he be like rain that falls on the mown grass, like showers that water the earth!
7 In his days may the righteous flourish, and peace abound, till the moon be no more!
8 May he have dominion from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth!
9 May desert tribes bow down before him, and his enemies lick the dust!
10 May the kings of Tarshish and of the coastlands render him tribute; may the kings of Sheba and Seba bring gifts!
11 May all kings fall down before him, all nations serve him!
12 For he delivers the needy when he calls, the poor and him who has no helper.
13 He has pity on the weak and the needy, and saves the lives of the needy.
14 From oppression and violence he redeems their life, and precious is their blood in his sight.
15 Long may he live; may gold of Sheba be given to him! May prayer be made for him continually, and blessings invoked for him all the day!
16 May there be abundance of grain in the land; on the tops of the mountains may it wave; may its fruit be like Lebanon; and may people blossom in the cities like the grass of the field!
17 May his name endure forever, his fame continue as long as the sun! May people be blessed in him, all nations call him blessed!
18 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who alone does wondrous things.
19 Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and Amen!
20 The prayers of David, the son of Jesse, are ended.
